This workshop will include a mix of computer studio time and an outdoor photography excursion in the local area. Included will be creative brainstorming, photography and poster design. Students will get the chance to challenge themselves visually with layering and unpacking images to create something meaningful and unique.

No experience is required however basic computer knowledge with Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator would be great. Wear comfortable clothing.

Students should bring packed lunch, snacks for breaks and water bottle.
Light refreshments will be provided on the 1st day of the workshop series only.

Chantel Matthews-Perawiti

Glen Innes born Chantel is a conceptual artist. Much of her work consists of digital/photographic imagery and installation that looks at the complexities of power and social concerns. Chantel’s presentation aims to be simple yet effective, constructing visual displays that require an “unveiling” of meanings.
Chantel has exhibited work nationally and is a graduate from Whitecliffe art and design school and Unitec Institute of Technology.
