About

Celebrate Tongan language week with a one off film screening of short films by the talented Mafile’o sisters.

The short films retell early Tongan myth for contemporary audiences. ‘Aho’eitu is preceded by The Legend of Kava Tonga, and bother were filmed in Tonga. The screening includes a rare Q&A session with Malosi Pictures with Directors Jerry Tauamiti and Vea and Art Director Emily Mafile’o.

The films were selected for the Nuku’Alofa Film Festival 2015. This a rare chance to see these works on a big screen and to hear from the films’ creators.
