We have extended the opportunity to sign up and create music with our guest mentors, Pos Mavaega (Pacific Underground), Thom Nepia (Herbs) & King Kapisi.

Come and meet with our other talented participants to find out how you can get involved with the Mana Moana Music Labs and Te Oro.

Our three guest music mentors will lead a FREE four-week programme of music labs for Pasifika mid-career graduate musicians towards a music showcase event in Glen Innes.

This is your chance to create and lay down some original music at the Te Oro recording studios and then perform as part of a showcase event called ‘HOME’ - July 2, 2016.

Pacific Underground

Pacific Underground (PU) is Aotearoa’s longest running Pacific performing arts organisation. Many of the country's most acclaimed artists began their careers with PU, including Oscar Kightley, Dallas Tamaira, Mark Vanilau, DJ Parks (Ladi6), Scribe, David Fane, Shimpal Lelisi and Joy Vaele (The Last Saint). Pacific Underground have been involved in numerous events and productions including Auckland’s Pasifika, Diwali and Lantern festivals and Sol3 Mio.

Te Oro

The long-held community dream of a music and arts centre for young people in Glen Innes is here.
In this multi-purpose space, young people and the local community can come together to perform, practise and learn the arts; express their creativity and talents; and celebrate their cultures.
