About
Te Oro proudly presents, in collaboration with Auckland Council Library Heritage Collections, as part of the Auckland Heritage Festival.
Journey through the rich tapestry of Glen Innes and its surrounding areas in this captivating exhibition. Explore the transformation of this vibrant Auckland community through carefully curated historical photographs from decades past.
Discover the changing landscapes that have shaped the area - from housing developments, glimpses of suburban life, and the Glen Innes town center to significant moments such as the Commonwealth Games Village in Glen Innes in 1990.
At the same time, we’re launching our zine showcasing photographs from this exhibition alongside GI town center portraits taken by local photographer Jesse Marsters from his recent exhibition at Te Oro. This zine will showcase Glen Innes stories, photographs, and memories of a neighbourhood shaped by people, culture, and creativity across generations.
