Off Axis” is a Street dance theatre work choreographed by John Vaifale and collaborators. It places an asymmetrical mirror before us, reflecting a world tilted away from the familiar, challenging how we create and move when the norm no longer applies.

SeaSonz is a newly formed Hip Hop dance duo, featuring John “Happyfeet” Vaifale and Villa “vi.LLAIN” Lemanu. Both artists are core members of Projekt Team and are dedicated to exploring and creating innovative works while actively supporting local dance communities, competing in battles, and organizing events. Proudly representing Samoa and Aotearoa, their motto, "Bound to the floor, connected by the sea," captures their essence and shared journey.

Artist bio : John “Happyfeet” Vaifale is a New Zealand-born Samoan (Solosolo and Lalo Vaea) Hip Hop and street dance artist, celebrated for his versatility and creativity. With over 15 years of experience battling, performing, and producing at the highest level in Aotearoa, John has established himself as a leading figure in the local dance scene.

His achievements span multiple street dance styles and cultures, including major wins at Red Bull Dance Your Style NZ, Fusion Concept New Zealand, and the World Hip Hop Dance Championships. Expanding into performance theatre, John continues to innovate as a choreographer and director. A long-time member of the street dance collective Projekt Team, he also leads Loose Change and House of Bounce, two platforms that nurture and support New Zealand’s Hip Hop dance community.

Projekt Team is Aotearoa’s leading All-Style Street Dance collective, established in 2014 with a mission to build authentic spaces for Hip Hop and Street Dance freestyle culture in New Zealand. Renowned for their freestyle mastery and deep knowledge of street dance styles, the team is dedicated to teaching, producing original works, and delivering high-impact events across the country. Driven by the philosophy “People First. Dance Second,” Projekt Team continues to centre community connection and creative excellence in everything they do.
