Learn the art of Siva Afi across an 8-session workshop programme for only $50, this is an opportunity to come together and showcase what you have learned through an end-of-year performance piece. Saturday 12th December.

Led by Amo Ieriko, award-winning Siva Afi practitioner, tutor, producer and cultural leader, the programme offers participants the opportunity to learn Siva Afi in a supportive, engaging and community-focused environment.

Amo is the Founder and Director of Siva Afi Aotearoa and the Siva Afi Festival and has played an important role in growing Aotearoa’s presence on the international fire knife stage while mentoring the next generation of performers.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

Across the 8 sessions, participants will develop:

• The three foundational Siva Afi motions
• Siva Afi movement, coordination and technique
• Language and terminology associated with Siva Afi
• Cultural knowledge and understanding connected to the practice
• Confidence, discipline and performance skills
• Choreography and skills that will build towards a group performance piece at the end of the year
