Sam Hatley

Sam Hatley is a drummer based in Auckland and has 15 years of experience behind the kit.
Starting at the age of 7, Sam was keen to get involved in bands and performing from a
young age, which gave him the confidence to pursue music in his adult life. He is active in
Auckland’s local music scene and plays for alternative rock band Slow Rage. He has also
previously played with and done session work for other local artists (Back to the Hillside,
Marianne Leigh, Alex Beattie) which span the genres of Rock, Pop, Indie, R’n’B and Jazz.
Sam aims to teach lessons on fundamentals of drumming in a way that’s fun and engaging
for newcomers up to intermediate players.
