ABOUT TE ORO
Since opening in 2015, Te Oro has established itself as a vital beacon for storytelling, creativity, and cultural connection. The centre proudly nurtures diverse creative disciplines with a special focus on Māori and Pasifika arts and culture through music, visual arts, and performance.
Te Oro Tekau embodies our core values of manaakitanga (hospitality), whanaungatanga (connection), and kotahitanga (unity) as we celebrate the community's creative spirit and the countless young artists who have discovered their voices and cultural identity through our centre.
Come celebrate with us - everyone welcome!
Te Oro
The long-held community dream of a music and arts centre for young people in Glen Innes is here.
In this multi-purpose space, young people and the local community can come together to perform, practise and learn the arts; express their creativity and talents; and celebrate their cultures.
